The theatre is a magical place, and there are numerous ways to get involved in our productions and become part of that magic. Obviously, when a production is planned, we need actors, backstage workers and “front-of-the-house” assistance of all sorts. While the number and types of actors needed varies from show to show, the backstage and front-of-the-house needs are somewhat more consistent. Jobs that need to be handled for virtually every production include: set construction, lighting, sound, makeup, costumes, props, stage manager, stage crew, ushers, ticket-takers, concession workers, publicity helpers, and more. Some of the jobs require more involvement than others, but every one of them is important.
Also, we’re always looking for individuals who would like to direct a production. If you have a script in mind that you’ve thought you’d like to make come alive, by all means contact us and let’s talk.
Even if you’ve never been in a play, even in elementary school, consider auditioning for a role sometime. Some of the finest acting we’ve seen has come from people who have never acted prior to taking on a role in one of our shows. Backstage work and other jobs are overseen by people experienced in those areas, and we’d love to help you learn the ropes.
If you’re interested in getting involved in any capacity, please let us know - click here to download our volunteer form. As we are not presently set up to have these forms submitted electronically, we ask that you print out a copy, fill it out and mail it to us (or scan and email it to us). Thank you for your interest, and we look forward to hearing from you! Also visit our Contribute and Sponsor pages to learn about other ways to get involved
